Cardinals Rookie

Oscar Taveras. Who is he? Nobody knew until he showed up on the Cardinals roster one day for a spring training game. Now he is one of the leagues top prospect. One week ago Taveras was part of a 5 home run game while the Cardinals beat the Miami Marlins. That day Taveras had a 2 run blast to center field to make that his second homer run of the Spring. Taveras has worked his way all the way up to the top spot in the 2013 top prospects list. At 6'0, 200 pounds and only 20 years old Taveras has 23 home runs and a .321 batting average in 124 games with the Cardinals minor league team. With the Cardinals having this young talented prospect they should easily fit into a playoff spot in the 2013 season.
